Baltic Heritage Jewelry

This brass brooch “ETNO Duck” is part of our Baltic jewelry collection, recreated according to archaeological findings and faithfully matching the original, which is now preserved in a historical museum.

What does “Ethno” mean?

“Ethno” is a word describing the culture and customs of a nation or ethnic group. Therefore, historical Baltic jewelry is called ethno or ethnographic, often named according to the region where it was discovered, reflecting its history and traditions.

Culture and Heritage

By remembering our ancestors, we revive the ancient jewelry they created so that we and future generations can connect with it and wear it during traditional Baltic celebrations:

  • Winter Solstice

  • Shrovetide

  • Spring Equinox

  • Midsummer (Rasos / Joninės)

  • Žolinė (Harvest Festival)

Our recreated pieces are made from the highest-quality brass, harmless and free from nickel, lead, and cadmium. The alloy contains only human-friendly copper and zinc.

How to Care for Ethnographic Jewelry?

Traditional heritage jewelry is cared for like other non-ferrous metal изделия.

If coated with a protective layer (as our pieces are), simply rinse with clean water when needed.

If not coated, brass jewelry may darken over time. It can easily be cleaned with silver polishing cloths. We recommend using a professional ➡️ jewelry cleaning cloth.
